New county-specific map of glyphosate resistant weeds

Posted by Angie Peltier - Weeds

The Illinois Soybean Association (ISA) recently released an interactive online map of the most common confirmed glyphosate-resistant weed species in each of the counties in Illinois. This map is the result of collaboration among the University of Illinois, Southern Illinois University and ISA. Scrolling over a particular county of the map will reveal a pop-up window that lists which of the three most common glyphosate resistant weeds, Common Waterhemp, Horseweed/Mare's Tail, and/or Palmer Amaranth, have been confirmed in the county (Figure).

A photo library of each of the weeds at different stages of growth and a list of useful weed management links is also available.
