Richard Hentschel host of Green Side Up discusses Spring cleanup as the weather continues to warm and observations of what we might be seeing as a result of our very cold winter and unexpected frosty nights. Bed clean up to allow perennials to emerge easily, dealing with thinned turf and planting weather appropriate vegetables are covered. Warmer weather and soil temperatures provide the opportunity to plant those warm loving vegetables. Lawn mowing has begun at a short intervals as the lawns will be actively growing right now. Mowing often allows the lawn to remain competitive against lawn weeds.
