The Illinois Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at University of Illinois Extension offers prospective business clients one-on-one counseling services. Individuals interested in starting a business or those which currently own a business can receive counseling regarding numerous business topics. Those topics include, but are not limited to, business planning, tax issues, corporate filing requirements, marketing, and loan packaging. The SBDC counselors provide business clients with an opportunity to discuss their particular issues in a confidential setting. SBDC counselors are also networked with a large group of business specialists. These specialists can provide information and/or answer to a multitude of specific business questions such as business structure and business tax questions.
