Starting Out

As with all projects, preparation and planning are key. After the Master Gardeners weeded the plot, Leonard tilled it to loosen the soil.

Before installation, it is always good to set the plants out to get a feel for their position and the overall layout

Designing the Monarchy Plot

Master Gardener Intern, Diane Hooper, sketched out an intial design and made a list of the characteristics of the plants (height, size, bloom time, etc) to give her a starting point for organizing and planning the garden
