This plant has a number of potential problems including borers, leaf and twig blights, canker, and powdery mildew.

Features: Creamy white flowers in flat topped clusters; white to pale blue fruit in clusters in late summer and autumn; autumn color is reddish purple; stems turn red in winter.
Culture: Full sun to partial shade; prefers a moist, well-drained soil.
Cultivars:
  • 'Argenteo-marginata' ('Elegantissima')- Green leaves with a cream colored edge, winter stems are red, 6-8 feet tall.
  • 'Bailhalo' (Ivory Haloâ?¢)- Leaves green with a white edge, winter stems red, 5-6 feet tall.
  • 'Sibirica' - Fruit is blue, winter stems are coral colored.
Mature Form: Broad rounded to rounded, branches slightly arching; suckers to form colonies.
