Tomato production, agroforestry, industrial hemp production, soil health, and digital marketing are some of the topics to be covered in this year’s Small Farms Winter Webinar Series. Presented by the University of Illinois Extension, these free webinars allow participants to learn about new and emerging topics in a one-hour presentation.
“Each year, we try to determine topics for small farms that will help them grow a new crop, expand their operation, and implement new management practices,” states Grant McCarty, Local Foods Systems and Small Farms Educator for Jo Daviess, Stephenson, and Winnebago Counties. “You can register online to listen to all of them or pick and choose”.
The Small Farms Winter Webinar Series is held each Thursday from 12-1PM until April 4th. Topics vary each week. To listen to the free webinars, participants register online and a link will be sent to their email. On the Thursday of that webinar, participants will sign in from their home computers. You can also stream these when they become available on YouTube.
