Amanda Taylor joined the University of Illinois Extension Leadership team in 2013 as the Assistant Director of Field Operations. She works directly with the Associate Director of Extension Field Operations to provide leadership and vision to University of Illinois Extension. Amanda provides support at a state level for volunteer and risk management and works closely with ACES Human Resources, Program Leaders, Regional Directors, and County Directors.
She received her Master of Education degree in Human Resource Management from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and a Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Communications also from the University of Illinois.
Amanda has over 12 years experience working in the Extension field. Prior to her current role she served as a County Director and 4-H Youth Development Educator with Purdue Extension in Knox County, Indiana. She also has held Extension positions in Hamilton, Piatt, Wayne and White counties in Illinois. She first began her career in Extension at the State 4-H Office working on the 4-H CAN Make A Difference campaign.
Her professional affiliations include Extension Partners, Epsilon Sigma Phi, NAE4HA, and she currently serves as a national officer for the NAEPSDP association as the North Central Region representative.
