Madelaine is the NW Regional Extension Educator for the SNAP-Ed program, serving Extension Units 1, 2, 4, 7, and 8, an area spanning 15 Illinois counties. Madelaine provides overall program leadership and guidance, oversight in selection of curricula and training materials, strategic planning input, and professional development, training, and mentoring to SNAP-Ed staff. She works with the teams of educators and program staff in each Northwestern Illinois unit to fulfill the Extension’s mission and the statewide goals of the Illinois Nutrition Education Program (INEP): (1) healthy individual behavior change, (2) healthy lifestyle messaging in communities, (3) improved access to healthy foods and physical activity opportunities, and (4) supportive community partnerships that promote healthier individuals and growth in the overall health of the community.

Madelaine is a registered dietitian (RD) and holds a bachelor of science in Nutrition, Dietetics, and Hospitality Administration from Northern Illinois University, and a master of science in Nutrition and Dietetics from the University of Kansas Medical Center.
