Susan Glassman joined the Nutrition and Wellness Team in August, 2015 as an Extension Educator. She provides University of Illinois Extension evidenced-based curricula in chronic disease management, nutriton and wellness topics, and food safety and preservation. Susan enjoys sharing knowledge from Extension and engaging residents to make healthier nutrition and lifestyle choices.
She received her Master of Science degree in Health Education and Administration and Bachelor of Science degreee in Nutrition and Dietetics, both from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale. Susan has over 23 years of experience working in the health and wellness field, with 12 years of direct Extension experience. Prior to her current role, she served in the Illinois Nutrition Education program.
Susan is a member of Epsilon Sigma Phi and National Extension Association of Family and Consumer Sciences.

Programs are offered in Chronic Disease Management, specifically, diabetes prevention and heart health along with food safety, food preservation and many other nutrition and wellness topics. She is a certified Technical Assistance Provider in Smarter Lunchroom Movement.
