Gather Around the Table for Diabetes Nutrition Discussion

Sometimes the best discussions happen around the table while enjoying a meal. This October during American Diabetes Month, take a pass on the Halloween candy and join DeWitt, Macon and Piatt County Extension for our Around the Table series to talk about healthy eating in Diabetes Meal Planning.

Living with diabetes isn’t easy. Practice meal planning, reading labels and using food to help manage your health with the help of Registered Dietitian and Extension Educator Caitlin Huth from 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday, November 2 at the Vespasian Warner Public Library in Clinton. Participants are welcome to bring a brown bag meal to eat during the program.

Register for Diabetes Meal Planning for free by October 31 with Marie at the library by calling 217.935.5174 or emailing The program will take place at the Vespasian Warner Public Library at 310 N. Quincy St. in Clinton. For more information, contact Caitlin at or 217.877.6042.

Around the Table is available through a partnership with Millikin University, Vespasian Warner Public Library and Coles, Cumberland, Douglas, Moultrie and Shelby County Extension.
