January 17 - February 21, 2018
(4:00 PM - 7:00 PM )

Hancock County Farm Bureau
544 Wabash Avenue
Carthage, IL 62321 (Hancock County)

Annie's Projectis designed to empower farm women to be better business partners through a series of education sessions covering the business of farming and ranching, and now here is your chance to register to attend this program. Since its inception in 2003, 8,000 farm women from 30 states have graduated from the program and have successfully taken on the challenges of managing and operating farms.Annie's Projecthelps farm women learn about farm management and improve their skills as business partners. Women are taught the basics of managing money, how property is titled, setting up farm leases, basic grain marketing, deciding on insurance products, and putting together a business plan which includes financial documents like balance sheets, income statements and cash flows.Annie's Projectis ideal for women who marry into farm families, or for women who have been away from the farm scene and need to get in touch with what is happening on their farms that they left years ago.

Classes will be held every Wednesday evening from 4:00 to 7:30 pm starting January 17 and ending February 21, with Wednesday, February 28 reserved as a snow day, if needed.

Classes will be held at the Hancock County Farm Bureau located at 544 Wabash Avenue in Carthage.

The cost of the program is $50 and is payable prior to the afternoon of January 17. Checks should be payable to University of Illinois Extension.

Pre-registration is required by January 8, 2018.
