Annie's Project Fall 2018
September 10 - October 15, 2018
(5:30 PM - 8:30 PM )
Annie's Project is designed to empower farm women to be better business partners through a series of education sessions covering the business of farming and ranching, and now here is your chance to register to attend this program! Since its inception in 2003, 8,000 farm women from 30 states have graduated from the program and have successfully taken on the challenges of managing and operating farms. Women are taught the basics of managing money, how property is titled, setting up farm leases, basic grain marketing, deciding on insurance products, and putting together a business plan that includes financial documents like balance sheets, income statements and cash flows. Annie's Project is ideal for women who marry into farm families, or for women who have been away from the farm scene and need to get in touch with what is happening on their farms that they left years ago.
Classes will be held every Monday evening from 5:30 to 8:30 pm starting September 10 and ending October 15.
Classes will be held in the Agriculture classroom at Liberty High School, 505 North Park Street.
Cost of the program is $75 and is payable prior to the start of classes. Checks should be payable to University of Illinois Extension.
Pre-registration is required by August 27th.
