Grazing land management is about managing your livestock to make the most of your pastures while maintaining and improving land condition. Healthy land means healthy livestock and a healthy, sustainable business. University of Illinois Extension is collaborating with Green Lands Blue Waters and the United States Department of Agriculture’s Risk Management Agency to offer a free workshop exploring the best species for grazing, fly control, crop insurance and more. Participants will spend the morning discussing these topics, enjoy a free lunch and later participate in a pasture walk with an in-depth discussion regarding grazing management.

This free workshop will be Saturday, July 21 from 9am-1:30pm at Law-Rae Manor Dairy, 5898 E. 7000N Road, Manteno, IL. Advance registration by July 16 is by visiting go.illinois.edu/dmp. For questions or additional information, please contact Doug Gucker at 217.877.6042 or dgucker@illinois.edu.
