A Fulton-Mason-Peoria-Tazewell Extension council meeting was held Jan. 11th, 2016 at 6:30 PM at the Pekin Extension office. Those in attendance included: Janis Blout, Sally Bair, Amanda Woodruff, Kelvin Sampson, Sharon Spangler, Cindy Chaffin, Steve Waterworth, Meghan Curless, Cody Zeeck, Holly Koch, Anita Wilkinson, Katelyn Pruitt, James Harp, Erika Eigenbrod, Cathy Ludolph, and County Director Earl Allen.

President Amanda Woodruff called the meeting to order at 6:35 PM

Introductions were made of the 4-H Program Coordinators.

The meeting minutes from previous extension council meeting were reviewed and informally approved. Official approval will take place at the Spring 2016 budget meeting.

Program Coordinators discussed the various Spin Clubs for their respective counties: Janis Blout for Fulton, Joli Pierson for Mason, Cathy Ludolph for Peoria and Holly Koch for Tazewell.

Earl gave a state budget update:

o To date there has been no budget approval but there is hope to have a budget passed within 4-6 weeks.

o The extension office is operating conservatively and does not plan to have extra help this summer unless other funding is found.

Update on new staff members was given by Earl

o Tazewell County has filled their SNAP-Ed positions (Katharine Girone, and Paula Evans)

o There is a new position – a bi-lingual EFNEP staff member (Mari Lopez)

Other business

o Distribution of annual reports will begin near the end of January.

Next meeting will be the annual budget approval meeting. The date and time will be determined later in the spring.

There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 7:38 PM
