Laura talks to UPTV about CU take-back programs

Illinois-Indiana Sea Grant's Unwanted Meds program was recently featured on UPTV, the City of Urbana's public, education, and government access TV station.

Hosted by Natalie KennyMarquez, "It's All About U" is a monthly talk show that interviews City of Urbana staff and individuals from around town discussing issues important to the community. Our very own Laura Kammin was asked to join the show to talk about Champaign-Urbana's medication take-back programs, and why they are so important to the communities they serve.
You can check out the video online (Laura's segment begins at 7:23), or catch "It's All About U" on UPTV, (local) channel 6, Monday nights at 6pm.

And if you're looking for more information about medicine take-back programs, check out our new "Illinois-Indiana Sea Grant Pollution Prevention Minute" series on YouTube. Our first two episodes cover what a medicine take-back program is, and how easy it is to prepare and safely dispose of your unwanted, unused, or expired medications.
