Can peonies be grown in a container? I have a ton of peonies on the side of my house and am going to transplant some of them, and offered some to a friend who asked if you can grow them in a pot. I've never seen this and thought I'd check with you. Thanks!

Hi,

they can be so long as the container is large enough and has good drainage. use a well prepared potting soil and plant. Water as needed, place in full sun and fertilizer with a liquid fertilzer monthly. during the winter place the containers in an unheated garage for the winter or bury the pot in the ground for the winter. bring them out when weather stablizes in the spring.
