As silly as this sounds I have recently moved in a home last july where the previous owner had quite the green thumb. I on the other hand have none. I am trying to learn as much as I can with hitting all dead ends. I want to transplant a rose garden from the back yard and don't know when or how to do that. I also have all kinds of plants and flowers a lot I have no idea what they are or where to look. Do you have any advice for me?

Hi Heather, Sounds like you have a great learning experience ahead of you. You can transplant roses now if you like. As far as identifying plants it is often better to wait til they flower and to take pix. Check with your local extension office about contacting them to help with plant id. please check out this website to find an office nearest you. http://web.extension.uiuc.edu/state/ good luck and happy gardening, Sandy
