My Mother has an apricot tree that is dropping a lot of fruit. Anytime that we allow fruit to stay on the ground/sidewalk for any length of time, thousands of flies are coming to enjoy it. Even after we get the fruit cleaned up, they still come and hang out on the sidewalk. Is there anything that we can do to discourage them from coming back? Thanks.

Hi Jeana, Other than sanitation there really isn't much that can be done. They fly in from all over. Probably need a soap solution for the sidewalk to remove residuals. at least its short lived problem. good luck, Sandy
