i have two mimosa trees i planted about four years ago. they are beautiful, but when i mow the branches hang down low enough that i get hit with them on the mower. is there a special time or way to prune the lower branches or do i leave them alone? thankyou

HI Norma, Mimosas dont always do well here in central ILL so great it is doing so well for you. generally we recommend pruning when plants are dormant after cold such as Feb March but light pruning can be done at any time. Sandy
