Apple Trees

About 5 yrs ago we planted two apple trees in the front yard. There has never been one blossom or fruit on either tree. One tree is a Johnny Appleseed and I don't remember what the other one is.

We are going to prune them but we have also been thinking about moving them to the back yard, when is a good time to do this??

Thank you, Heidi L Rathbone

HI Heidi, How frustrating. I would think by now you would see at least flowers. They should be in full sun and we would recommend moving them in the spring before they leaf out. You may want to contact your local Extension office for more local info on varieties. you may have some that do not do well in your area. please use this website to find the office nearest you. http://www.ces.ncsu.edu/ Sandy
