rosemary and lavender

Any chance in this climate that I can have rosemary and lavender plants in the ground and have them survive the winter? They're near a house, so fairly well protected.

HI Mark, English lavender yes, rosemary no. English Lavender just needs a well drained spot to make it through the winter. rosemary even the hardiest one called Arp is not reliably hardy.
