they have eaten all of my petunias but never touched the snapdragons or geraniums

Bev, Rabbits are a common problem and it may be easiest to use repellants or fencing. Go to www.livingwithwildlife.extension.uiuc.edu for ore information. Also, you may check with local garden center for plants like snapdragons and geraniums that rabbits do not consume. Good Luck, Steve
