I was given a name like FENOX...(sp)? What is that chem. And do you think Round-Up would be better? Thanks ,....Garry

HI Garry, I assume you are referring to fenoxaprop-ethyl the chemical in the lawn herbicide Acclaim. depends on waht you are trying to control. Acclaim is best for post emergent control of crabgrass and goosegrass and a few others. if you are trying to control a perennial grass such as nimblewill or quackgrass then glyphosate sold as Round up and many other brands will be more effective. Of course glyphosate is non selective so spot spraying is necessary because it will kill any good grass it is sprayed on.
