We have 2 cherry trees, last year one the tree leaves on one side all died and we had no cherries. This year the same tree looks dead; I'm sure it is dead. There are no buds at all, the other tree is blooming. How do I know what happen to this tree? Is it a diseases that could spread to my other trees?

Christy, not sure how old these trees are but cherries are not long lived. they get several insects and diseases. I would also check for borer holes. also some varieties are not particularly winter hardy. they also can suffer if soils are too wet. we would have to see a sample to give you a better idea if it might be an insect or disease.
