We discovered insect holes in young (and not so young) leaves of our treasured Fagus sylvatica "Torulosa" this morning (5/18/12). Insect is primarily targeting youngest expanding leaves. Holes are large, probably 1/8" diameter. What insect is this and how can we control it? We generally avoid any chemicals at all, even on non-edibles, but this tree is *special*, so we'll compromise. Thank you.
