Sir: My redbud tree about 6 yrs old was a beautiful flowering tree this Spring. Now the leaves are curling on the ends and it really looks like it might be dying. What can I do? Thanks!

Audrey, redbuds suffered last year formthe drought so you may be seeing some deadwood. actually more than usual since redbuds often lose inner twigs. they are quite suscpetable to herbicide drift tha t can make the leaves curl at the ends. you can send sample to the UI plant clinic or bring samples to you local extension office.follow the second link to get info on both. here is infor that may help. http://urbanext.illinois.edu/hortanswers/plantdetail.cfm?PlantID=195&PlantTypeID=7 http://web.extension.illinois.edu/state/index.html
