Hello-I returned from weeks away to find bees (I am assumin them to be Carpenter Bees: small very quick) next to my front door flying under the viny siding through a smal gap. I have never seen them before but suspect the previous owners covered what I know now is rotting and weathered wood. Can I spray Seven dust in the openeing to deter them? Is morning best for this as they seem very agressive and will buzz the cats and smack on the glass door. They are hindering entry to my home right now...thank you!

HI Maggie, so sorry for the delay in rely and hope you came to a reasonable conclusion. for long term management of carpenter bees it is best to paint or varnish the exposed wood if possible. here is a pretty good fact sheet. http://ento.psu.edu/extension/factsheets/carpenter-bees
