ground wasps

Our planter in front of a brick home and yard on side of house is full of what I think of as ground wasps. We have been battling these for several years to no avail. We have been told that they will return every year. Is there any way to get rid of them

Hi Pat, generally ground wasps need open/bare soil. usually 3-4 inches of wood chip mulch will help to dissuade them.
