Cherrie Trees

What can I do to prevent the birds from eating the cherries off the tree before they are ripe? Last year they ate them in one day. I also have problems with flies eating them. We have cattle so the birds and flies are really a problem with my cherrie trees and apples. Thanks

Your best bet is to use bird netting sold at garden centers for the birds. Once the cherries start to form you could use floating row covers which is a fine mesh cloth to keep the flies at bay.
