carpetender bees

I am having a proble with carpetender bees making hole in my cedar siding home. They also leave very messy waste trails on the windows and siding. I have had a few in years past, but this year there seems to be more. Presently I see 8 to 10 new holes. In the past I have sprayed them with cygon(?sp) and filled the holes with wood filler.

Thank you for a quick response!

Marilyn, Unfortunately carpenter bees love unfinished wood so a longer term solution is to paint or varnish wood surfaces. Seven (carbaryl) dust can be dusted on the entrances. do not plug entrances until fall. good luck, Sandy
