Last winter all leaves on tree came off, but this spring and now 6/17/05 (2) of my trees still donot have any leaves. I live on a lake and the house is 1 1/2 yrs old. New Construction work stopped a yr ago, and last year these trees all had leaves. I see what looks like buds on these two trees for some time but still no leaves. Are these trees dead? What can I do for this problem?

Prognosis certainly does not sound good for your trees. I would suggest scratching the stem with your thumbnail to see if there is any green left. If dry and brown then trees are dead. General maintenance (water) is about all you could do if trees still alive. May want to contact your local Extension office. http://www.aces.edu
