I have noticed very small holes in my yard..the size of a pencil eraser. These started in the back yard but now I notice them all over the yard. They look like something has made a circular motion to make the holes. Does anyone know what is causing this. My yard is very brown with heavy thatch which I am trying to solve.

Thank you

Pam, Sounds like birds. They often will probe a lawn looking for tasty insects or worms. Thatchy lawns usually have plenty living in the thatch. Birds not really a problem.
