Aloe Vera

I have this aloe vera plant for at least 8 year. Two summers ago, it produced about 15 babies, and about 10 babies last summer. So, I've transplanted it on a somewhat regular basis and to keep up with its growth. This summer, it has sent a stalk up the middle with 2 buds and should be fully flowering in the next few weeks. I was writing because I was wondering if anyone here - the Master Gardeners, the extension, etc - would like to come out and look at it. My research has shown that in it's native land, it flowers rather continously. But, Illinois, USA is far from its native land. If there is any interest at all, please email me at the above address. I have also taken pictures to capture the stages of the growth of this flowering bud.

Sincerely, TK

TK, That's great to see it flowering. Not sure if I have seen it before. We would love to have some pictures to share around our office. Happy Gardening, Sandy
