Is Corn Bread considered a "whole grain" product?

I did a quick search of the internet to see if I could find a definitive answer to this question. My first reaction was "it depends" and that's what I found. It depends on how the cornmeal was made. I found a reference to "whole grain corn" products in an Cargill press release from March 2005 at http://www.cargill.com/news/news_releases/050308_maizewise.htm about whole grain corn products. It says their brand can replace other corn products. The only way to tell if something is 100% whole grain is to look on the label. A manufacturer of a product can only claim 100% whole grain if it is made from 100% whole grain flour.
