new gas dryer

We just purchased one of those new front load washer and dryers by LG. The dryer is a gas dryer. Ever since we have hooked it up, we smell gas. My husband, who is quite handy and mechanical, has checked the line for any leaks and can't find one. Yet every time we come in the house, we smell gas. How can we find out where the leak is? Who can we call to have it checked out? The machines were purchased online, so the company that sold to us cannot come to the house.

Sincerely, Abby Lauer

Abby,

Thanks for your question. If you smell gas, it means there's a leak somewhere. It can be very small. Don't light any matches or smoke in the area. You need to IMMEDIATELY call your gas company and have them check it out. They will do that for free and they would rather do that than see you have a gas explosion at your house!!!

Please be safe and call immediately.
