Dying Fruit Trees

I have several fruit trees on my property which is right next to farmland. Two years ago I had a cherry tree die. The leaves turned brown and fell off in just a couple of weeks. They started dying on the side of the tree next to the farm and progressed across the tree. So I'm thinking some sort of overspray may have killed it. This year my apple tree is beginning to show signs of problems. The leaves are turning a dark green and the branches, including new sprouts are droopy. The tree is bearing apples. I have killed silk flowers before, so I'm not good at this sort of thing. Where should I start?

Thomas, Fruit trees can get a number of different insects and diseases so I'm not sure just what is going on with your apple. I would suggest taking a sample of the afflicted branches and maybe a photo or two to the U of I Plant Clinic http://plantclinic.cropsci.uiuc.edu/ So no silk flowers are safe around you? good luck, sandy
