In Champaign County, when should we treat lawns for Japanese beetle larva? Also, what should we treat them with?

John, If you have had problems with grubs in the past we recommend halofenozide sold as Grubex or imidacloprid sold as Merit in mid July. It takes a couple weeks for the ingredients to become active hence the treatment before the grubs arrive in August. so you are a bit late to apply now but woudl still give some control if you choose to apply .
