I HAVE JUST DISCOVERED THAT ALMOST MY ENTIRE BACKYARD IS COVERED IN MOLD. I AM CALLING IT MOLD AS I DO NOT KNOW WHAT MOSS IS NOR WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE. WHAT I HAVE IS A BRIGHT GREEN COVERING UNDER THE NUMEROUS TREES IN THE YARD. MY GROUND IS LOW IN THIS AREA AND DURING THE RAINY SEASON STANDS FOR LONG PERIODS OF TIME IN WATER OR WET CONDITIONS. I WOULD LIKE THE NAME OF A PRODUCT TO GET RID OF THIS CONDITION. THANKS FOR ANY INFORMATION YOU CAN GIVE ME.

Kathleen, Sounds like you have discovered why you have moss or algae growing in your lawn. Wet areas where the grass does not grow well. your best bet is to correct the drainage issue. The moss or mold really isnt hurting anything and will only return with the next rainy season. You may want to contact your local Extension office for information concerning your area. check this website to determine the one nearest you. http://solutionsforyourlife.ufl.edu/lawn_and_garden/
