can the mandavilla be propagated from the parent plant in a greenhouse invironment (i'm in a northern u.s.a climate).

Roger, Mandevillas can be propagated by cuttings. It would probably be better during the warmer months when they are actively growing. Certainly can be tried now in a greenhouse as a tip cutting or by laying stem on soil while still attached to plant. A method called layering.
