Some very young American Bittersweet I received from SpringHill nurseries and hadn't planted has something very strange happening on the leaves. They have turned white and have a paper like texture. Any ideas what this might be?

Kathy, that indeed sounds strange. I would wonder about how they were treated in transport. Perhaps they got too hot or were in shipment for too long. I would suggest contacting place of origin, Springhill.
