Grass Color

I need to reseed a "Fylking" variety bluegrass lawn, and I cannot find a reference for the color of the various bluegrasses so I know which ones would look ok with the Fylking.

I saw a chart long ago which simply named all the blugrass varieties and their color (dark green, mediumn green, ...), but I cannot fond anything now off or online.

You are correct about the difficulties in finding a chart of bluegrass colors. Apparently this is no longer needed due to the fact that all recent bluegrass varieties are considered dark green. I have been in contact with our turfgrass specialist on campus. He recommends the 'Midnight' bluegrass cultivar as a reasonable replacement for your 'Fylking' cultivar. 'Midnight' is a dark Kentucky bluegrass with good resistance to leaf spot, stem rust, stripe smut and dollar spot diseases.

I hope this helps
