Pear tree spraying

I have two pear trees in my backyard. One is a Bartlett that puts on a lot of fruit, but usually fruit is so misshapen and full of bugs, most is not useable. The other does not put on much fruit, and pears are much "harder" fruit, but also have problems with bugs and shape. Is there an insect spray and a schedule for them? Fertilizer and how to apply? Thank you for taking the time to answer my questions. Best regards

There is indeed a spray schedule, but too lengthy to type out here. Send me your street address, and I can mail you a copy, or stop by your local office and pick one up http://web.extension.illinois.edu/blmp/ .
