I have a very large scheffelera which has been cared for indoors here in CO. Any chance of it surving moving to Tucson, Ariz.and putting it outside with very little water, either in a pot or directly into the groud? Thanks < JJ

They will not tolerate frost so depending on the area you are going to if it gets cold it won't like it outside all year. Even cold evenings below 40 will affect the plant so it needs to be brought in for the winter. During the summer it can be placed outside in shaded spot but you will need to water it to keep it moist as dry soils are not to its liking.
