i was walking in starved rock park area and came across a strange tree. no other trees in the area looked anything like it. also ive never seen anything like it around this area. is there anyway i could take a picture and email it to you for identification? im pretty sure its not from around this area and being it found near the river basin i would think maybe it floated from some where else up the illinois river .

Greetings Clayton,

Yes, of course! Feel free to send as many pictures as you can to assist me in identifying the tree in question. Please try to get different angles and high-quality photos of the entire tree, bark & main stem, twigs, buds, foliage, and fruit (if it is fruiting).

Feel free to send pix's to jhayek@uiuc.edu
