I have 13 Black walnut trees I would like to clear and sell for the most amount of money in Kent, Ohio. Should I contact a Forester, if so, any recomendations?

Greetings John,

As I have preached throughout this forum - most definitely yes, contact a professional forester. A professional forester will provide you a fair and unbiased appraisal of your saleable trees.

I can’t help you with a recommendation, but I can tell you where you should start. Begin by calling your local DNR forester http://www.dnr.state.oh.us/tabid/5280/default.aspx

More often than not, your local Ohio DNR forester will refer you to a list of professional consulting foresters http://www.dnr.state.oh.us/Home/landowner/Consulting_application/tabid/6996/Default.aspx who offer their services in the area where you own your land.

Thanks for your question and best of luck! A little leg work on your end should pay big dividends!
