Appraisal: Wrongful Tree Removal

I am attempting to establish a value for a very old oak tree the was illegally cut down in the common area outside our townhome. The truck diametor measured about 36 - 40 " I etimated the age of this tree to be at least 75 years old. It provided shade and protection from storms. It provided an estectic value to our townhome It was removed without any notification. I am considering taking legal action against the association for their error.
