Veneer Mill By-Product (MO)

Used to be a saw mill in Pleasant Hill MO that sold a veneer log by-product called a slat. These were the parts of the log that were rounded on one side, flat on the other and cut away to get to the heart wood. Back then a bundle of slats cost $50 and they'd set them on your trailer for you. Is there anywhere in MO that still sells these reasonable? I need them for Stall lining and a round pen.
