Hard Mast Trees Native to New Jersey

What nut trees will survive and thrive in NJ?

My shady 1/2 acre lot has a number of 40+/- year old oaks maples, etc which are starting to thin out by themselves.

I want to replace the ones that are down. I want hardwood trees and might as well do nut trees for the deer, wild turkeys, squirrels, birds, etc (since fruit trees won't get a lot of sunlight).

Any help is appreciated.

Greetings:

Might I suggest this Website - it is a list of New Jersey native plants, shrubs, trees, etc.
