Fruit/Ornamental Trees (PA)

Hello. :-) I had recently acquired a 7' avocado and a 7' starfruit tree both in large pots that were as indoor trees. We live in PA in what appears to be zone 6 but very close to or possibly in zone 5 line. Will they die if we plant them outdoors or will they simply not bear fruit? (They are too large to stay in our home.) Thank so much for any help.
