Acorn Mast Year? (IL)

I have been seeing a few oaks in or city park here in Kewanee that are loaded with acorns. Are we having a Mast year in Illinois?

Greetings David: I assume you're asking whether or not we are having a "bumper crop" mast year...correct? I'm currently in the process of soliciting hard-mast observations for oak, hickory, and black walnut throughout the state; however, I've received very few reports to date. I'll post updates to this message upon receipt of observational reports.
